Hydrogen power has been poised to overtake traditional combustible engines for some time. However, due to development and production costs, these cars have stalled in the American market. As technology has continued to progress the cost manufacturing these clean energy vehicles has drastically declined. This has allowed for literally hundreds of hydrogen powered cars to explode onto the market. California has some of the country’s toughest emission laws, so naturally the state was perfect for the debut of hydrogen powered cars. The first few commercial models sold were in 2008. Since that time, Californians have enjoyed easy access to vehicles that produce virtually no carbon emissions. As the popularity of these vehicles continues to grow, you can bet more and more people will flock to purchase their own hydrogen powered cars. This, in turn, will have a positive effect on both the environment and the economy. There are currently around 30 different models to choose from and at least 8 to 10 more improved concepts in development. New innovations have allowed these concepts to take form and improve upon previous models of hydrogen powered cars. Just about anyone can now enjoy owning a hydrogen powered car for a moderate price.
